Fans unite against food poverty Liverpool and Leicester fans have come together to help alleviate food poverty in their respective cities. The Foxes Trust plan to donate to Fans Supporting Foodbanks collection at Anfield before the Liverpool v Leicester fixture on Thursday 10 February 2022. Solidarity with Montevideo

Solidarity with Montevideo A few weeks ago, at the beginning of March, a group of Spirit of Shankly met with supporters of Uruguay’s @LiverpoolFC1915, based in Montevideo, who were visiting the city. Supporting Huddersfield foodbank

Liverpool’s fixture this weekend is a little special. The Reds host Huddersfield Town in a league game for the first time in 46 years (October 1971). Huddersfield was, of course, the club Bill Shankly left, in December 1959, for LFC.

SOS uniting the community

Organisers at England’s oldest mosque have teamed up with Spirit of Shankly (SOS) and Everton Supporters’ Trust (EST) to pledge to help eradicate food poverty in Liverpool. The Abdullah Quilliam Mosque on West Derby Road has launched a foodbank collection point to boost the grassroots initiative, Fans supporting Foodbanks.
