Ticketing Campaign – proposal and vote

At the EGM held at the Sandon on November 19th, Liverpool Supporters’ Union voted to commence a campaign against the escalating cost of match tickets. In particular, it was agreed to launch a campaign for a flat rate away ticket price of £25.

As part of this campaign, the Union has been working with the national supporters’ organisations, the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) & Supporters Direct (SD), in order to develop a nationwide alliance that brings together supporters of as many clubs as possible in this common cause.
At a meeting of the FSF in Manchester on January 24th it was proposed that a national demonstration of football supporters be held outside the premises of the FA Premier League. Members of the Union Management Committee present at the meeting supported this proposal.
Accordingly, the Management Committee is seeking the support of members in proposing the Liverpool Supporters’ Union resolves to campaign within the national supporters’ organisations for a national demonstration of football supporters to be held outside the premises of the FA Premier League.
Active members can vote for or against this proposal by logging into their account.  Voting closes 23:59 Monday 18 February 2013.
