Spirit of Shankly are delighted to share more positive news on the North Liverpool foodbank campaign. Following discussions and meetings throughout the summer with the Imman at the mosque at Brougham Terrace, they are to become a partner. They will hold collections on Fridays at weekly prayers.

This is a brilliant step and further evidence of the community spirit in North Liverpool. The growth of the project has also highlighted the relevance of both Liverpool FC and Everton FC working together in the local area. Hopefully this will spread to the wider football world.

Another boost has come from City of Liverpool FC, who have been organising collections at their games with a terrific response.

We would like to thank all who donated on Liverpool’s first home game of the season, but as we know it doesn’t end there. Please continue to help where and whenever you can.
