Help is Here: Covid-19 response
In partnership with Morrisons, SOS began delivering food drops in April, to date we have delivered upwards of 2,200 parcels.
We would like to record our thanks to SOS committee members Kieth Culvin and Ste Monaghan for their drive and determination in making this happen. Thanks also to Carol Kelly, James North and their team at Morrisons in Speke, Liverpool, who spent hours collating and bagging all of the food.
Finally thanks to our intrepid taxi drivers, Tony Caveney, Frank Doherty, Philly Taylforth and (Evertonian) Phil Hardwick who volunteered their time to make all of the deliveries.
We wouldn’t have been able to achieve all we have without the volunteers who stepped up to aid those who needed it most.
It isn’t only SOS who have been active.
Others, groups and individuals, around Liverpool and Merseyside have rallied to help, donating time, food and money where needed:

This fan activism has been documented with a short film by Harvey Morrison @Harveymovideo music by @JamieWebster94.

We are currently donating all new SOS membership fees towards essential PPE for NHS staff & care workers in conjunction with Lydiat Learning Trust / @LLTPPE.
We’ve had an amazing response so far and as a result we have helped create 700 protective visors for frontline workers.
