Derby day ‘advice’ is not consultation
We and The Blue Union refute the suggestion that we were advised by Merseyside Police on any pre-FA Cup discussions regarding fans.
SOS were sent information, via LFC, after a course of action had already been decided. Advising of decisions is not consultation.
We invite ACC Critchley to tell us how Merseyside Police shared their plans with us and how we responded.
As for fans not being segregated – their statement was clear: LFC fans are advised that Anfield Road will be *closed to home supporters* between the Shankly Gates and Disabled Entrance, Gate 4.
