To all supporters travelling to Old Trafford on Sunday, there may be increased traffic leaving Liverpool due to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon also taking place. This will not affect the route of the Spirit of Shankly coach that will leave the 12th Man at 1.30pm and the Rocket at 2pm, as arranged. Coaches will not be escorted into the stadium.

There are also roadworks around Old Trafford itself that could make the journey longer, but the trams are running as normal – there is no strike.

There will be three checks before entering the ground: one to show tickets, security wand metal detector, and pyrotechnics and drugs, plus random Covid checks. Once inside alcohol will be served on the concourse.

At this point, the police have not yet made a decision on whether supporters will be kept behind after the final whistle.
