Spirit Of Shankly representatives have had daily meetings with LFC officials following the difficulties accessing Anfield at the pre-season matches last Sunday and Monday.

We discussed our concerns, those raised by our members and supporters and we have been assured by the club that the NFC system of entry will be fully functional for the Burnley game on Saturday 21 August.

We asked that they have a robust plan in place should there be any issues on the day, again they assured us they do.

We also asked that during this initial period of uncertainty with the new system the deadline for adding friends-and-family details be extended and alternative arrangements made for the first three games. This is to allow fans to transfer their tickets speedily and easily and has been agreed.

We will continue to monitor the situation and welcome any feedback as things progress ahead of the Burnley fixture.
