Tom and George – Not welcome here – Sunday

Spirit Of Shankly has continually made it known as loud as possible, that Tom Hicks and George Gillett are not welcome at Liverpool Football Club any longer. The reasons are plentiful, but come back to the broken promises of a new stadium, no debt on the football club, and that they would back the manager. Time and again, they have shown that they are unable to fulfil any of their promises, and all they have left us with is lies and a football club suffering as a consequence of their actions.

Now is the time for us to take action against the owners. Tom Hicks is going to be in attendance for Sunday’s game against Arsenal (maybe his partner George too, after all, he won’t want to miss out on a freebie). We have chanted, marched, shown banners and aired our grievances, telling them we don’t want them here. Let’s show them on Sunday we don’t want them here any more – let’s stop Tom and George getting into Anfield.

We need as many people as possible to make this work, to show them once and for all, we don’t want them here. We will be meeting at Midday, at the Salisbury on Walton Breck Road. If you want to show Tom and George that you don’t want them here, owning the club and running it into the ground, coming to the games on their all expenses paid trips, then please be there.

(We will also be distributing leaflets on Sunday, continuing our plan to educate fans as to why we want Tom Hicks and George Gillett out of our club. If you plan to join us on Sunday, to stop their entrance, and to distribute leaflets, can you email directaction@spiritofshankly.com.

Spirit Of Shankly will also be holding a Direct Action meeting shortly before Christmas, to discuss strategies and ideas for action in the New Year. If you are interested in attending, please contact directaction@spiritofshankly.com)
