Spirit Of Shankly notes that at the recent EGM held on Saturday 11th July, it was agreed that a protest against the owners would take place at the forthcoming Atletico Madrid game at Anfield on Saturday 8th August.

Spirit Of Shankly, the Liverpool Supporters Union, has recently been in discussion with ShareLiverpool regarding the opportunity for fan ownership of Liverpool Football Club.

Thomas Cook meeting
On Tuesday 26th May 2009 SOS representatives met with Thomas Cook to discuss any common ground over the cost and arrangements of travel for Liverpool fans.
Direct action – Member input
Spirit Of Shankly, the Liverpool Supporters Union, is currently looking at different methods of appropriate action that can be taken, against Tom Hicks, George Gillett, or those involved in the financing of their ownership of Liverpool Football Club.
PTS – LFC response
The Spirit of Shankly reacted quickly when we discovered overnight between Wednesday and Thursday of this week that Liverpool Football Club were announcing a change to the Priority Ticket Scheme. We obtained feedback from Ian Ayre, Commercial Director of Liverpool Football Club that we published as quickly as possible on the SOS website.
RBS and MPs – No to refinancing
Spirit of Shankly today launches direct action against Royal Bank of Scotland and seeks the support of all members and fans in a campaign to force RBS to refuse to refinance the loans taken out by our current owners.
SOS and LFC accounts
The Spirit of Shankly have studied the information that has been released in the last day relating to the accounts of Liverpool Football Club and its associated companies. The picture is alarming and underlines what we have said from the creation of the Union, namely that Tom Hicks and George Gillett are not fit or proper custodians of our Club.
Priority ticket scheme
The Spirit of Shankly (SOS) recently met with Ian Ayre to question him on a number of wide ranging issues. We will be reporting back to members about this shortly. The question of the price of next season's Priority Ticket Scheme (PTS) was raised by the SOS and Mr. Ayre indicated that there was likely to be an announcement this week but that he was unwilling to go into any detail with the SOS as he wanted PTS members to be made aware of the proposals first.
