Apply for LFC fan forums

A couple of months ago Liverpool FC announced plans to set up a number of fan forums to enhance supporter engagement. There are to be five forums each made up of eight to 12 supporters. Spirit of Shankly will also have a seat on each forum, which will be taken up by current committee members.

Spirit of Shankly are delighted to share more positive news on the North Liverpool foodbank campaign. Following discussions and meetings throughout the summer with the Imman at the mosque at Brougham Terrace, they are to become a partner. They will hold collections on Fridays at weekly prayers.

Anfield – An Asset of Community Value

Anfield, as a stadium and what it represents, is incredibly important to both Liverpool supporters and the local community. It matters to so many people - be it those who attend football matches, those who work there or those who live within close proximity. This week, the Liverpool Supporters’ Union have submitted an application to Liverpool City Council to have Anfield, and the immediate area surrounding the football stadium, designated as an asset of community value.

SOS statement on regeneration proposals

Given our work to progress the Football Quarter initiative and our ongoing constitutional commitment to the improvement of the Anfield neighbourhood, Spirit of Shankly welcomes Monday's announcement of plans for the long awaited, and much needed, regeneration of the Anfield area. In particular, the Union notes the key role played by Mayor Joe Anderson and Liverpool City Council in bringing key agencies together to produce the regeneration masterplan.
