Update on The Football Quarter

As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, we have been continuing our work developing The Football Quarter concept, which was first announced in March 2010. Since the release of the report by Dr Alan Southern looking into the concept and looking at other examples of football based regeneration and community initiatives, Spirit of Shankly and KEIOC have been working on producing a prospectus, bringing together in one document, the requirements and aspirations of The Football Quarter. It explains the value the concept can bring to the city of Liverpool and how it can contribute to existing North Liverpool regeneration plans. At a time of uncertainty around the proposals for a new stadium or a re-developed Anfield, The Football Quarter considers the options for progressing the concept whatever the eventual outcome for Liverpool FC. The prospectus will be sent to relevant stakeholders and published for members to view in the coming weeks.

We have launched a new Twitter page @TheFootballQtr to help keep you up-to-date with news and developments about The Football Quarter and to help spread the message about what the development of The Football Quarter could mean to supporters, the local communities and all who visit.
