Ticket Price Campaigning Update And Final AGM Reminder

Dear Members,

As you know, SOS are heavily involved in the nationwide Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign and we continue to push the club for general admission and season ticket prices to be, at least, frozen again for the 2026/27 season. With some clubs already releasing prices for next season, I want to keep you updated with what has been going on.

In autumn 2025, we wrote to the club to set out our position, sharing the work we’ve done with the SEL campaign. We requested the same of the club, including asking them to freeze prices. They said they were committed to meeting and discussing this with the Supporters’ Board.

The SB were due to meet the club on January 18. Our expectation was for ticket pricing to be one of the main talking points, but LFC informed us they were not yet ready to discuss this. As a result, SOS and other representatives on the SB made
the decision not to go ahead with the meeting until the club were ready to present on this.

We again wrote to the club telling them of our position – you can read a public version of that letter here – and asked if they could confirm, directly and unambiguously, as soon as possible that general admission and season-ticket prices would be frozen for the 2026/27 season.

To date, they haven’t done this which, in light of the recent news that LFC are now the Premier League’s highest earners with revenue up 17% from 2024’s figures, is disappointing. But they have given us a timeline for discussion and a Supporters’ Board meeting has now been arranged for February 5. We will keep you informed of any developments.

Also, a reminder that our AGM takes place this Saturday (details below). We want to use this opportunity to talk about the SEL campaign with members and supporters and hear your views. We will be joined by Thomas Concannon from the FSA who, with Gareth Roberts from the MC, will discuss both national and local steps. It is only with members’ support and input that we can win our fight to keep football affordable.

Unfortunately, David Conn has had to pull out due to work commitments, but I hope as many of you as possible can make it in person or watch afterwards on our YouTube channel.
