Liverpool Supporters’ Board: Ticket Changes – Have Your Say
Earlier this year, Liverpool FC confirmed there will be no rise in general admission ticket prices for the 2025/26 season. Since then, the club has begun discussions with the Supporters’ Board about a number of possible changes for next season on how tickets are sold and used.
Some changes have already been introduced:
- Every Seat, Every Game – a new policy for season ticket holders, asking that their seat is used for at least 15 league games a season. If you can’t attend, you’re expected to pass your ticket to a Friend or Family member or list it on the Ticket Exchange. We worked with the club to agree a fairer number than originally proposed and are pushing to ensure this also applies to hospitality seats, not just general admission. We’ll continue to monitor how the policy works and raise any concerns on behalf of supporters.
- Access cards – there are plans to review who currently has an access card instead of using NFC, and we’ve worked with the club to make sure supporters without smartphones or those with accessibility needs can still request a physical card. We’ll keep pressing to make sure this system is fair and works for those who need it.
The club is now asking for views on more potential changes. These include:
- Making the Members’ Sale process smoother and quicker
- Adjusting the Friends & Family system – potentially adding a cap to the numbers on any list but allowing supporters to update their list during the season
- Changing how tickets are distributed, to improve security and ensure fairer access
- Reviewing how tickets are passed on or shared, to reduce misuse and make the process more transparent
The club has said these changes are aimed at fairer access, cutting down on ticket misuse and tackling touting. But as your Supporters’ Board, we want to make sure that any plans to deal with those issues don’t make life harder for ordinary fans who use their tickets appropriately and how they have for many seasons – especially those who have always gone to the match by helping family or friends, buying for others, or sharing tickets in trusted ways.
That’s why we’re asking you to complete a short survey. The club is facilitating the survey and will be emailing this in the coming hours to all supporters on their ticketing database. You can also complete the survey here, though it is better to complete via the emailed link. LINK
Your feedback will help us:
- Understand how these changes might affect supporters and ticketing
- Raise the right questions and any potential issues with the club
- Push for fair and proportionate policies that protect the matchday experience
As a Supporters’ Board, we welcome some of the changes, including efforts to improve the member sales process, and the desire to ensure Anfield is full. We also want to make sure that changes, such as those to friends and family, don’t impact those who purchase tickets for friends, or changes to distribution are fair and consistent.
This is your chance to make sure supporters are heard. None of your answers, including those on sharing tickets, will be used for anything other than shaping the conversation around ticketing.
This is not about catching anyone out – it’s about protecting how fans go to the match and making the system work better for all of us.
Thanks for your time and support. Check your inboxes for the survey or complete the open survey here if you do not receive it:
