Spirit of Shankly are delighted and honoured to attend the ceremony of the restoration of the Glenbuck Heritage Site, which will include the unveiling of a new memorial to Bill Shankly.

A delegation from SOS, along with other supporters, will travel to the birthplace of Shankly on Monday 2 September – his birthday. It follows an invitation from the Scottish Mines Restoration Trust and Scottish Government to attend the celebration.

Glenbuck holds a special place in the hearts of Liverpool fans, and it is wonderful to see the area flourishing again. We are immensely proud to be involved in this event in what is the 60th year since the great man joined LFC.
