Feedback from LFC Spirit of Shankly have been in discussion with Liverpool FC, following members and supporters’ feedback after the Burnley game last Saturday, 21 August. Issues raised included NFC difficulties accessing Anfield, queues to get in to make it in time for kick-off, overcrowding on the concourses once inside and lack of staff and refreshments. Issues on Saturday Liverpool FC’s first home game of the season, in front of a full house for the first time in 18 months, was a positive 2-0 victory. A great start on the pitch, not so smooth off it, with many of Spirit of Shankly members reporting confusion and disorganisation. The new ticketing system had caused apprehension for fans following difficulties getting into Anfield at the two pre-season friendlies earlier in the month. Assurances in place Spirit Of Shankly representatives have had daily meetings with LFC officials following the difficulties accessing Anfield at the pre-season matches last Sunday and Monday. We discussed our concerns, those raised by our members and supporters and we have been assured by the club that the NFC system of entry will be fully functional for the Burnley game on Saturday 21 August.
