European Super League Spirit of Shankly are aware of the speculation surrounding a breakaway Super League that has been reported today, Sunday 18 April 2021. When talk of this happening has occurred over the past few years, SOS have always been opposed to the idea. Today’s news was unexpected, but at this point in time it is mainly speculation. VAR online survey The Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) have launched an online survey to gather the opinions of supporters on the implementation of VAR, supporters’ experiences with it, and the areas that need improvement. The Premier League recently launched a VAR consultation with players and managers. The results of this survey will be fed into the Premier League consultation as part of the regular meetings the FSA have with the game’s authorities. PGMOL presentation on VAR Earlier this month, the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) invited Spirit of Shankly and representatives of other fans’ groups to attend a presentation on VAR. Walk out on '77 : 5 years ago today Today, Saturday 6 February, marks the fifth anniversary of fans walking out of Anfield in protest at ticket-price increases. This unprecedented action was broadcast around the world and led to LFC’s owners apologising to fans and backing down. Return of fans to Anfield Following the Government announcement that Liverpool City Region will move into Tier 2 on 3 December, 2,000 fans will be allowed into Anfield for our next home games – against Wolves, scheduled for 6 December, followed by Tottenham, on 16 December. Profit Per View update On Friday 13 November, the Premier League dropped the idea of Pay Per View and committed to showing all games without charge.
