Shankly Memorial Glenbuck

As some people may have been aware the Shankly memorial in Glenbuck was recently damaged by joy-riders crashing a car into the memorial. The damage caused was very severe and the monument was in great danger of being ruined.

RIP Bobby Wilcox, Liverpudlian 1948-2009

With a heavy heart, Spirit of Shankly regrets to announce the death of Bobby Wilcox last night at the Royal Liverpool Hospital after a short illness. He had only very recently been diagnosed with cancer, and his family were with him at the bedside. He was sixty years old.

Spirit of Shankly would like to pass on our thoughts and best wishes to legendary Liverpudlian Bobby Wilcox and his family. Bobby has undergone surgery at the Royal Liverpool Hospital today and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Inaugural Annual General Meeting

Spirit of Shankly, the Liverpool Supporters' Union, is pleased to announce details of our Inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be taking place on Saturday 21st February 2009. The AGM will start at 11:30am, and will take place in the Liverpool Lighthouse, on Oakfield Road, Anfield.
