Liverpool Supporters’ Board: Our View On The LFC Ticketing Survey – Have Your Say

Liverpool Supporters' Board: Our View On The LFC Ticketing Survey – Have Your Say Liverpool FC have launched a wide-ranging survey on ticketing. As your Supporters’ Board, we have had some initial discussions with the club about this and pressed them to ensure there is public discourse on proposed changes and an explanation of what is taking place.  Many of the issues raised in the survey are ones that we know fans talk about every week: loyalty, access, fairness, affordability. We know supporters will look at some of the questions and it will fuel speculation [...]

Liverpool Supporters’ Board: Our Response To The Club’s Ticketing Changes

Liverpool Supporters’ Board: Our Response To The Club’s Ticketing Changes THE club has announced a series of changes to ticketing processes after proposals first shared with the Supporters’ Board earlier this year. We’ve met regularly with the club to discuss these proposals in detail, using feedback from supporters — including through the recent survey — to help shape our position. Many of the responses reflected our reservations: these changes will affect supporters in different ways, depending on how they attend matches and who they purchase tickets for. Some changes reflect ideas we welcomed and influenced. [...]

LFC Supporters Board Statement

LFC SB - Ticketing update for new Premier League season In line with the contractual agreement, LFC did engage with the Supporters Board regarding its proposed ticket price increases. Whilst they are bound to consider the SB views, such matters are not subject to Fan Consent and therefore LFC retains absolute and final discretion over the determination of such matters. It is they who have decided to impose these price increases. To be clear, the LFC Supporters Board were unanimous in their opposition to any proposed ticket price increases and this remains our position. To [...]

Manchester City allocation

Manchester City allocation Reports in today’s press note a reduced allocation for our game away to Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday 1 April. In 2019, Liverpool FC’s allocation for this fixture was 3,028. When supporters returned after Covid, this was reduced to 2,880. The reason for the reduction, we were told, was due to missiles being thrown from the home end at away supporters. Rather than reduce tickets in the home section, where the aggravation came from, Manchester City reduced the away allocation. Manchester City are now looking to reduce this further with [...]

This is an evolving story and the club have assured us that they will keep us [...]

Supporters Board

Role of the Supporters Board It is two months since the launch of the Supporters Board and, following some enquiries from members and fans, we wanted to give an update on how it will work to prevent any misunderstanding over its role. Spirit of Shankly and Liverpool FC entered a new era of supporter engagement with the SB that sees fan representation at board level. But this does not mean the SB has a seat on the LFC Board, no supporters sit on that Board. The fan-led SB is a completely separate entity to deal [...]

Supporters Board

Supporters Board Launch Today, Wednesday 17 August 2022, Spirit Of Shankly enters into a new era of fan engagement. One that will bring challenge, opportunity and renewed hope with the potential to define the future and set an example for others to follow. And one, most crucially, that gives us the supporters a fundamental and legally binding role in Liverpool FC’s decision-making processes for the first time in the club’s history. Just over a year ago three days, in April 2021, shook football to its core. The European Super League — an initiative designed to [...]

Future engagement with LFC

Unanimous Yes in Favour of Supporters Board Following the poll of our members regarding future engagement with Liverpool FC and the establishment of a Supporters Board – as negotiated between Spirit of Shankly and the club – the answer is a resounding yes. More than 98.9 percent have voted in favour.  This is a groundbreaking move for supporter involvement at both local and national level. It will be written into the club’s Articles of Association allowing for improved engagement now, but most importantly, protecting it for the future.  It means LFC fans will for the first [...]
