Is following LFC away too expensive?

In the modern game of football ticket prices are a massive focus for all football supporters with many being priced out of attending some or all of the matches they had attended in previous seasons. This was further highlighted in the BBC Price of Football survey which was published last week. This placed Liverpool FC as having the 2nd most expensive "cheapest match-day ticket" and the third most expensive "cheapest season ticket."

SOS statement on regeneration proposals

Given our work to progress the Football Quarter initiative and our ongoing constitutional commitment to the improvement of the Anfield neighbourhood, Spirit of Shankly welcomes Monday's announcement of plans for the long awaited, and much needed, regeneration of the Anfield area. In particular, the Union notes the key role played by Mayor Joe Anderson and Liverpool City Council in bringing key agencies together to produce the regeneration masterplan.

The Hillsborough Justice Campaign has contacted Spirit of Shankly regarding the Sun's attempt to regain a foothold in the City with a substantial offer in conjunction with the Morrisons supermarket chain this weekend.

FSG: We need direction

In light of recent events surrounding Liverpool Football Club, Spirit of Shankly has been in contact with the club to gain an understanding of what the owner’s strategy may be moving forward. Spirit of Shankly has always held the position that it is not our place to be picking and choosing individual managers, our duty is to represent our members in demanding that the Club has an executive structure in place that can effectively support the manager, whoever that may be.
