Multi-year increases scrapped

Ticket-price update We welcome the decision that Liverpool FC will no longer proceed with its previously announced three-year ticket-pricing model. Following supporter protests, at a locked-in multi-year deal, and conversations with the Supporters’ Board over the past few days, the club has pledged a new proposal that will allow us to examine thoroughly long-term solutions surrounding fan affordability and access. The club has now confirmed a 3% inflation-based rise for general admission next season, followed by a freeze on prices for season 2027/28. These two seasons run in tandem with the current TV Broadcast cycle [...]

Heartbeat of the Club

Message sent loud and clear We would like to thank everyone who made Saturday’s protest at Anfield such a huge success. To have 80%, if not more, of those in the ground come together to make a statement is something rarely seen in football anywhere in the world. It was a message sent loud and clear from Anfield to Boston and beyond. From the foodbank volunteers to those who gave out cards on the day, to every single supporter who raised one on the 13th minute, we say: thank you. No supporter wants to be [...]

NO TO MULTI-YEAR TICKET PRICE INCREASES: NEXT STEPS v CRYSTAL PALACE AND MORE

NO TO MULTI-YEAR TICKET PRICE INCREASES: NEXT STEPS PROTEST v CRYSTAL PALACE: SHOW FSG THE YELLOW CARD  On Saturday we are asking every supporter to "Show FSG The Yellow Card" over the decision to make Liverpool FC the first club to lock in THREE YEARS of price rises.  Not only is this a tone-deaf and worrying decision in terms of the price of tickets, it is also closing down the conversation with supporters, and ending yearly accountability and scrutiny through the Liverpool Supporters' Board. We have already seen the withdrawal of flags and banners from [...]

Reply to Billy Hogan

Letter to club CEO Billy Hogan On 10 April, the day before the first protests over Liverpool's decision to introduce multi-year price increase, all Anfield season-ticket holders and members received an email from the club's CEO Billy Hogan. He was, he said, writing to give 'further clarity; on the club's approach. He went on to lay out in detail why the decision had been made, what it means for next season, the key facts, the locked-in three years, engagement with the Supporters Board, and moving ahead. Spirit of Shankly, with the largest number of representatives [...]

Protest first steps – and flags for Hillsborough

Thanks for your support Following Saturday’s protests and the start of action to urge the club to reconsider its plans for a three-year price increase, we would like to thank all supporters who took part and have shown their support. All those who handed out leaflets, spoke to other supporters, didn’t spend inside the ground or bring the usual flags and banners, you have helped kick start the campaign. The support echoed inside the ground for the protest sent a loud message to LFC’s decision makers that they have made a mistake. The visual difference [...]

Liverpool FC Are Leading The Way In Pricing Out Loyal Fans For Years To Come

Liverpool FC Are Leading The Way In Pricing Out Loyal Fans For Years To Come LIVERPOOL FC’s owners have shown a blatant disregard for supporters and are now leading the way in pricing out loyal fans for years to come – despite the club turning over a record £703million. Spirit of Shankly believes that should anger every Anfield match-goer who cares about the future of the club. Why? Because: No other Premier League club is baking in three years of price rises No other club has effectively shut down meaningful annual debate [...]

Spirit Of Shankly: Response to Ticket Price Increase

Response to Ticket Price Increase Today Liverpool FC announced ticket price increases for next season and the following two seasons after that. The rise is aligned to inflation, capped at 5%, and for the coming season it will be 3%. The rise for 26/27 equates, on average, to an increase of £1.25 to £1.75 a game for general admission. Spirit of Shankly are completely opposed to this increase. It is smaller than at some clubs, and larger than others so far, but the bottom line is: the club do not need to do it. Liverpool [...]

Spirit Of Shankly: The Noise That Won’t Be Silenced

Spirit Of Shankly: The Noise That Won't Be Silenced   By Jay McKenna The Sandon Pub is a well-known feature in the history of Liverpool Football Club. Without the events of 1892, there is no modern-day Liverpool FC as we know it, and all that we’ve heard and witnessed in between.  That very same pub was the location of another meeting 18 years ago, without which the recent history of the club would have been very different.  Those who can recall – or who may have blocked from their memory the events of late 2007 [...]

Ticket Price Campaigning Update And Final AGM Reminder

Ticket Price Campaigning Update And Final AGM Reminder Dear Members, As you know, SOS are heavily involved in the nationwide Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign and we continue to push the club for general admission and season ticket prices to be, at least, frozen again for the 2026/27 season. With some clubs already releasing prices for next season, I want to keep you updated with what has been going on. In autumn 2025, we wrote to the club to set out our position, sharing the work we’ve done with the SEL campaign. We requested the same of the [...]
