“Thanks for the many good wishes I have received since my appointment. “On Friday, 12 April, I was proud to represent Spirit of Shankly alongside fellow committee members, Ste Monaghan, Kieth Culvin and Ian Byrne, as we travelled to Dublin in support of Sean Cox ahead of the Legends match.

“As confirmed at the Spirit of Shankly AGM in March, the chair Jay McKenna is standing down. "On behalf of the management committee and wider membership, I would like to pay tribute to Jay and express our gratitude for all his work and dedication to the union since it began more than a decade ago. We will miss his input on a day-to-day basis, but know he will continue to back SOS in all we do.

Fairness for fans in Europe
After a brilliant trip to Germany, Liverpool supporters were eager for Friday's Champions League draw. Again we have been paired with Porto and while we all hope for another fantastic result as we had last season, for fans intending to travel to Porto there is concern about the price they will be asked to pay for a match ticket.

Why I got involved – Jay McKenna
Jay McKenna has been involved with Spirit of Shankly since the very beginning. He has served on the committee in all that time and is currently Chairperson, Jay is standing down at the forthcoming AGM. “I really never had any intentions of getting involved with Spirit of Shankly.

The Spirit of Shankly Management Committee can confirm that the Annual General Meeting of the Union will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 19th March 2019, in The Casa, Hope Street, Liverpool City Centre.

Spirit of Shankly and Spion Kop 1906 are aware that LFC will be asking a number of supporters to collect tickets at our away fixture in Munich.
